Mark Hammons – Principal
Mark Hammons is a 35-year real estate professional leading the development of over 25,000 acres of land among some of the most successful and master planned communities in Arizona and California, delivering over 24,000 homesites to homebuilders. He is an expert in entitlement planning, land planning and engineering, and land development. Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Mark was the Senior Vice President for Sunbelt Holdings managing award-winning projects including Vistancia, Blackstone Country Club, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Johnson Ranch, Power Ranch, Sheely Farms, and The Legacy Golf Resort. Prior to Arizona, Mark was the Vice President of Newhall Land and Farming Company, developer of the notable Valencia master planned community located 35 miles North of downtown Los Angeles.
Mark is active in the real estate development community, with affiliations to American Planning Association, Urban Land Institute, Scottsdale Leadership Class X, City of Scottsdale-Design Review Board and City of Peoria-Chairman Economic Development Advisory Board.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science-Urban Regional Planning from California Polytechnic University.
Chris Reed – Vice President, Finance/Entitlements
Chris Reed has over 17 years of experience in the construction and development industry. He began his career doing estimating and structural design in homebuilding. He then worked for Ernst and Young LLP’s Real Estate Advisory Services and spent ten years with Sunbelt Holdings before joining Land Resources. Chris is an expert in financial analysis, cash flow projections, due diligence, bank/investor relations, and entitlements. He has been engaged in portfolio analysis and underwriting at a national level involving various asset classes such as homebuilding, self-storage, retirement communities and other retail/commercial development. Chris has been involved in various real estate projects in Arizona including Power Ranch, Johnson Ranch, and Tierra Del Rio. He has played a lead role on two notable Arizona projects including Power Marketplace (150-acre commercial/industrial center) and Vistancia (7,100-acre master planned community).
Chris has been a member of the Urban Land Institute since 2006, is a graduate of Marketplace One Leadership Institute (2009) and Peoria Leadership Institute (2014). He also serves on the Vistancia Village Association and Vistancia Maintenance Corporation Board of Directors. Chris holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University, graduating top of his class.
Gabe Hill – Vice President, Land Development
Gabe brings over 25 years of residential, commercial and civil infrastructure construction experience to the Land Resources team. With extensive land development experience in development projects in metropolitan Phoenix, Prescott and Tucson, Gabe has led joint development and residential construction management projects of single lots to large-scaled 1,000+ lot master planned communities. He has also worked on some of the Valley’s most notable communities including Vistancia, Verrado, Eastmark, Tierra del Rio, Desert Oasis, Aviano and Windgate Ranch.
As the Vice President, Land Development Gabe is responsible for the day-to-day land development operations of the Vistancia master plan.
Kimberley Clifford – Director of Marketing
Kimberley Clifford brings 25 years of experience developing integrated brand marketing and communications strategies to build brand awareness and sales for national and international brands. Kimberley started her career in the real estate marketing industry in 2001, working on DMB Associates’ flagship master planned communities of Silverleaf (2,000-acres) and DC Ranch (8,800-acres) in Scottsdale, Arizona; Marley Park in Surprise, Arizona (956-acres); and the 120-acre mixed use development One Scottsdale. She also directed the marketing efforts for Newland’s 27,000-acre Estrella community in Goodyear, Arizona. Kimberley currently leads the brand strategy, marketing communications, media relations, CRM, email marketing, website, social media, builder and realtor relations, signage, and guest experience operations for both the 7,100-acre master planned community of Vistancia and the private Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia.
Kimberley is actively involved with the Vistancia community, serving on three home owners association Board of Directors including the Vistancia Village Assocation, Blackstone Association and Vistancia Maintenance Corporation. Kimberley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Washington.
Tammy Donaldson – Controller
Tamara has over 17 years of Accounting expertise including construction accounting, financial reporting, auditing, job costing and general ledger for real estate properties and golf course operations. Prior to joining Land Resources, Tamara spent eight collective years as the Controller for Blackstone Country Club. Prior to that, she spent 7 years as Project Accountant for Communities Southwest.
Tamara holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University, W.P. Carey School of Business in Accountancy.
Karen Howard – Project Manager
Karen brings 15 years of experience in commercial and residential development and real estate management to the Land Resources team. Prior to joining Land Resources, Karen worked for Sunbelt Holdings and was responsible for Vistancia’s contract administration, commercial core land planning, commercial broker agent management, homebuilder and City coordination and construction administration. Prior to that, Karen worked for Shea Properties to manage a wide range of design, development and construction projects as well as post-construction tenant leasing and property management for The Wells mixed use development in the City of Maricopa (100-acres), 91 Glendale mixed-use office park (22-acres) and Vistancia Marketplace (18-acres).
Karen currently sits on two home owners association Board of Directors including Vistancia Village Association and Blackstone Association and is also the Design Review Committee Chairperson for Blackstone at Vistancia and The Village at Vistancia. She also serves as the primary lead and liaison for Design Review with new homebuilders and custom homesite owners.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Global Business Management from Arizona State University.
Mike Verzani – Project Manager
Mike brings over 30 years of construction management and development experience leading high-profile construction projects in Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. He has extensive experience in contracting and managing sub-contractors. Prior to joining Land Resources, Mike worked with large-scaled construction companies to coordinate and oversee construction projects from start to finish. He is an expert at scheduling and managing a diverse range of construction projects including grading, paving, wet and dry utilities, block wall construction and excavations. As Project Manager at Land Resources, Mike is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of construction projects in Vistancia.
Karen Mozer – Project Accountant
With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Karen has held a wide range of positions in Accounting, Administration, Office Management and Operations throughout her career. Prior to joining Land Resources, Karen worked with commercial construction, real estate development and private country club companies including R.D. Olson Construction out of Irvine, California; Sunbelt Holdings’ master planned community of Vistancia; Advanced Real Estate Resources, Inc.; and Blackstone Country Club where she was responsible for a range of activities including oversight of job budgeting, processing draws, managing invoicing, accounts payable and receivables, project management as well as property management of a condominium project in Colorado.
